Our brand-new, hemlock-sided, beach cottage is situated at the top of a lovely hill facing the beautiful harbor of Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Our five acres of land offer two private beaches, one on each side of a peninsula. One faces the mouth of the harbor and the other fronts across a quiet cove.

Our custom-built house was designed by a local, well-known architect who incorporated the magnificent view into the heart of the design. Banks of windows bring the outdoors in and create a very relaxed feeling with changes of light from every angle. Enjoy the expansive view or walk down the gentle slope, flanked with pine trees, to either beach, where a sunset-watching stroll is most inviting.

Our master bedroom has western exposure and faces the open water view with its little inlets and islands. A firm, king-size, platform bed is across a set of French doors which provide an unparalleled view. The second bedroom has a twin-size, trundle day bed with great southern exposure and lovely views of the bay. The third bedroom (located on the lower floor) comes with a queen-sized bed and has views across the harbours open water.

Our open-concept kitchen, which features the latest in steel appliances, has a wonderful window seat - great for relaxing with a glass of wine while contemplating what feast to create. Incorporated into the kitchen is a comfortable butcher-block bar, which separates the kitchen from the adjacent dining room as well as the great room.

The third floor tower is our 'eagles nest' or writer's loft - with an unparalleled surround view that goes on for miles and miles. Come up here to write, think, or simply lose yourself in time.
